As an alternative to the quickly occupied parking spaces directly on the fjord, here is a slightly higher place at the end of a gravel road. The road was previously used for logging work. A little ground clearance is required to drive here. We managed it well with our van, though. Probably not suitable for larger campers and those with trailers, as there are only limited turning options. Access is via the inconspicuous entrance at the junction with Eiksundvegen (see second picture). We also saw whales and dolphins (with binoculars). You can hear the main road below during the day, but it didn't bother us at night. Please keep the place clean.
