(LA20 6ET) Duddon Bridge -

This is a small car park for the site of the Duddon Furnace. It is usually gated, but you just open the gate to get in. There are a few residences nearby, but as long as you are quiet, I doubt they would mind people stopping over for the night. I have seen a few vans use this spot. It is probably best suited to smaller vans. Just up a path from the car park is Duddon Furnace, the ruins of a huge furnace and industrial site. It is well worth a visit. Also, for the more adventurous, you can follow the footpath onto a stream bed that climbs to the top of the fell.
