Copperopolis - Tulloch Drive

You can stay overnight directly in the campground parking lot. Large parking areas, even for RVs. Cash only; simply put the money in an envelope and tear off the receipt. In the morning, the exit is guarded; you can't leave without a receipt. Restrooms are open 24 hours, there are showers and a laundromat, but you have to get the tokens from the ranger. Right on the lake, you can swim. It's also a launching area for boats; apparently, there's a lot of traffic on weekends. We stayed one night, and it was very quiet.
