Chodes - Camino de las Torcas

The Climbing Parking Area is the main access point to the Torcas de Chodes, one of the most iconic and beloved climbing areas in Aragon. The parking area is a dirt clearing situated in a privileged natural setting, nestled between the impressive limestone walls of the Jalón River gorge. It's a place with a purely mountaineering and sporting atmosphere. Location: It's located at the end of the Torcas Trail, about 2 km from the village of Chodes. Services: It's a rustic parking area, so it doesn't have running water or electricity. However, a food truck (coffee and drinks stand) adds a lot of life and is a favorite meeting point for climbers. Overnight Stays: It's a very popular spot for campervans and motorhomes. Although it's not an official service area, the climbing community often spends the night there peacefully. Keeping the area clean is recommended to preserve this privilege. Its biggest advantage is its immediate proximity to the climbing areas. • You can see the crags right from the parking lot. • Areas like the Tunnel Wall are just a 2-minute walk away. Other main areas are scattered along the path and the river, with very easy approaches that rarely exceed 10-15 minutes, making it a great "park and climb" option.
