Cartagena - 3 Huerta del Frances

Small, clean gravel parking lot. Access from the road is a bit bumpy, but doable. Ground clearance recommended. There are 1 or 2 fairly level spaces. Locals park their cars here when they want to visit the adjacent pine forest or go to the harbor. More than 1 camper should not park there so as not to challenge the friendly residents for the space. Currently there are no prohibition signs, but also no official parking sign. Park, don't camp! An abandoned transformer station or something similar spoils the view a bit, but it's a good stop for one night. The road can be heard a little depending on the parking space you choose, but there is almost no traffic at night. In the morning you can almost only hear the sounds of the forest. Stray cats with kittens nearby - keep your dog on a leash! A longer walk leads to the small harbor & the restaurant there (I didn't visit it when I was passing through). Depending on the location, there is 4G, but the mobile phone service is rather poor. Take your rubbish with you!! There are no rubbish bins.
